About Meredith

About

My name is Meredith Raiford. After graduating with a BFA in Painting from the University of Georgia in May of 2015, I took a year to follow God's call to use art as ministry to serve the incredibly worthy and underserved people around the world. This journey took me from Maputo, Mozambique to dusty Trujillo, Peru, followed by a beautiful mountain in Bogota, Colombia and the shores of Port Maria, Jamaica.

Though already a lover of beauty in brokenness, as evident in my works preceding this year of adventure, these once in a lifetime experiences and glimpses into other cultures and the human soul only deepened my love affair with the hidden hope to be found in the hopelessly lost.

What started out as me spending one year, traveling to four countries and painting 20 murals has now evolved into so much more.  Paintings for Change is the manifest of a passion that I have of making the world a more beautiful, positive place.

I have relocated back to Chesapeake, Virginia and I am excited to branch out in new areas of creating as I seek out God's purpose for my life and work for this next season.

Whether you're looking for a minimalist rustic addition to your home or wedding, a print to make your house or work space feel more like a home for your lovely soul, or an original piece of artwork to have and to hold, I am pumped to get to help you make that desire a reality!

"The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing to find the place where all beauty came from"
-C.S. Lewis
