WOMEN OF CLAY: Three Paintings. Three Prayers. Three Reminders of truths to live by.

ALL I HAVE IS YOURS: To sit with open hands with all that you have and all that you desire hanging in the balance is hard. To look and see what is God’s and what is yours and to recognize that all that you have is His; this is hard. To look to God with faith that He is your provider and He is a kind father. This too can be hard. 

This painting with its deep blues that show both the peace and the pain of giving everything over to God, was painted as a reminder of God’s grace and faithfulness. Our God, our Father, our Protector, Creator and Provider is already in control of it all. There is a sweetness of relationship and peace that comes when we recognize this, unclench our fists and kneel before him declaring, “You are Good. All that I have and all that I desire is from you and for you.”

I pray that this painting serve as a sweet reminder of God’s simultaneous sovereignty and generosity in your life. I pray that as you look at your desires in the balance you see more of what you’ve been given and less of what’s been withheld. I pray that God continually recalibrate your heart towards surrender and gratitude. May God show you the surpassing worth of relationship with him when compared with all else.
