Of the second wave of paintings inspired by Roman antiquity, this was the first on my list to tackle. I love how the first century artists of Pompeii played with the depth of foliage in their garden pieces. This guy was a sumptuous joy to play with as I focused on capturing the depth and textures of a juniper tree in light of the first century Roman style.

This lovely image is printed on superior archival grade un-stretched canvas at a local shop in GA. I’m working closely with the print shop to ensure that each print is a well made and accurate reproduction of this dreamy work of art.
