Light, peaceful and airy. This sister painting to “Coral Reeds” was inspired by the ruins of the same villa in Pompeii. The original inspiration of this painting was filled with bolder reds and blues in its pallet, but I decided to tone down the colors to make this moment feel more like a good day in early spring; refreshing and teeming with new life.

This 20”x20” acrylic creation is painted on archival canvas and framed in a natural wood floater frame to give it just the right amount of emphasis without overwhelming or overshadowing the piece’s simple beauty.
