Peace, joy and hope. This bright floral piece is based off of a near destroyed first century Roman fresco. Rather than trying to reconstruct the places where sections of wall had fallen away I chose to leave the pieces disconnected and partially imagined. I’ve found there’s beauty in the chaos and a peaceful hope emanating out of that which remains.

This 30”x40” acrylic creation is painted on archival canvas and framed in a natural wood floater frame to give it just the right amount of emphasis without overwhelming or overshadowing the piece’s simple beauty.
