Saffron Songbird

Saffron Songbird

$350.00

Bright and poised. This is the central and original piece in the jewel toned triptych of Roman style birds. This piece, like several others in this series, was inspired by a detailed remnant in “the house of the golden bracelet” also know as “the house of the wedding of Alexander” in Pompeii. Originally set against a black backdrop I opted for a rich saffron gold theme for this lovely adaptation. The end result is warm and glowing, sure to brighten whatever space it inhabits.

This 16”x20” acrylic creation is painted on archival canvas and framed in a natural wood floater frame to give it just the right amount of emphasis without overwhelming or overshadowing the piece’s simple beauty.
