Soft and glowing, this painting feels like the first song of a new day. This painting is inspired by a piece of filigree in one of Emperor Nero’s summer homes outside of Pompeii. A small detail on a damaged wall, I’ve now brought it to the foreground and exchanged the cracks and soot for vines and sunlight.

This 20”x20” acrylic creation is painted on archival canvas and framed in a natural wood floater frame to give it just the right amount of emphasis without overwhelming or overshadowing the piece’s simple beauty.

All paintings are currently committed to be on display at the Altama Museum of Art and History through October and will not be available for shipping until the first week of November.
