I was on the phone with my Grandmama as I went on my afternoon walk near the river by my house. I’ve walked past this plant a hundred times before, but something about the weather and light this day made it stand out to me. I snapped a picture and painted it the next day. Light and easy to paint, this work of art feels like ease and a pleasant afternoon stroll.

This 18”x24” acrylic creation is painted on archival canvas and framed in a natural wood floater frame to give it just the right amount of emphasis without overwhelming or overshadowing the piece’s simple beauty.
